DESCRIPTION

Can’t seem to beat Five Nights at Freddy’s? Don’t stress about it! After all, it’s normal for first-timers to have difficulty beating the game at first. Fortunately, surviving all your night shifts in the game is very much possible. If you’re one of the many players struggling to finish Five Nights at Freddy’s, here are some strategies you can use to beat the game below!

Consume Your Power Supply Wisely

Contrary to what you think, it’s not wise to constantly switch lights and check cameras throughout the game. Keep doing that, and you won’t have enough power supply throughout the night. That said, it’s better to only shut doorways, inspect cameras, and turn on the lights once you start noticing suspicious activity from any of the animatronics.

Except for the special animatronic, Golden Freddy (to be discussed later), all these animatronics can be first seen in camera 1A. Once they start disappearing from camera 1A, they’re on the move. That should only be the time you should begin using your tools.

If you’re having difficulty hearing their movement, use headphones or earphones while playing the game. After all, Five Nights at Freddy’s involves relying on auditory cues. With earphones or headphones, you can hear if the sounds are coming from your left or right earphone/headphone. From there, you can make the necessary actions to prevent the animatronics from attacking you.

Understand the Animatronics' Movements

It’s also essential to understand how the animatronics move. There are four animatronics in total. Each animatronic moves differently, so make sure to understand their corresponding movements below:

1. Freddy

Freddy is the bear animatronic wearing a top hat. If you deplete your power supply, he will come out and attack you, forcibly ending the game. Unlike other animatronics, it’s difficult to decipher how Freddy moves.

One indicator that he’s on the move is if your camera views get darker. You should also be able to see two glowing eyes, indicating Freddy is present in the said area. Furthermore, his advancements slow down if you keep watching him.

However, Freddy is also capable of breaking doors. So, make sure to slow him down by constantly watching him through the cameras.

2. Chica

Chica is the yellow bird animatronic. Chica moves quickly and will always appear through the doorway found on your right. Once you spot Chica in the cameras to your right, shut the right door immediately to stop her from attacking.

3. Bonnie

Bonnie is the violet rabbit animatronic. Although she’s known for her random movements on cam, she always uses the left doorway. If you see or hear Bonnie approaching you, make sure to constantly tap the lights on the left doorway to ward her off.

4. Foxy

Foxy the Fox animatronic usually lingers in camera 1C. You’ll know Foxy is approaching when you hear running footsteps to your left side and occasionally see the words “It’s Me” sprawled across camera 1C. Quickly close the left doorway once you get the said cues.

5. Golden Freddy

Although he’s not part of the main animatronics, there’s a small chance Golden Freddy might appear upon seeing his poster in camera 2B and putting the camera down. Simply recheck the same camera to make him disappear. Unlike other animatronics, Golden Freddy only shows up one time per night.

Make Sure to Keep Your Glances Short (Except For Freddy)

Except for Freddy, it’s important to keep your glances on several cameras short. Looking at your cameras through your monitor consumes power, so keep your glances short and to a minimum. Again, Freddy’s advances can be slowed down by constantly monitoring him through the cameras, making him an exception to this strategy.

Be Quick with Your Movements

Although this may seem obvious advice, those playing games like Five Nights at Freddy’s often panic once they sight one of the animatronics in either doorway. Do note that you only have a few seconds to close the doors before they enter your office. If you don’t close the door fast enough once Bonnie or Chica appears in your doorway, they will enter your office and jam your doors. That said…

Don't Flip Up Your Monitors If Chica Or Bonnie Jam Your Doorways And It's Almost 6 AM

Again, you’d know that Chica or Bonnie have entered your office if your doorways are jammed. If you flip up your monitor, either animatronic will attack you. They can also forcibly pull your camera down if you take too long to put it down.

Fortunately, you can avoid Chica or Bonnie’s attacks if it’s almost 6 AM and experience the said scenario by not opening your monitor. This isn’t always guaranteed to work, but it might still help you with a bit of luck.

Like many video games, it just takes the right strategies and understanding of game mechanics to beat Five Nights at Freddy’s. Although you can use cheats if you’re playing on a Nintendo Switch or make tweaks on the animatronics’ AI levels, beating the game without doing any of those feels much more satisfying. If you want to beat the game without any cheats or tweaks, follow the said advice above. Best of luck in surviving all five nights!
