DESCRIPTION

RAID: Shadow Legends has many different ways for players to take part in. At first, you might feel overwhelmed with all of the choices. Don’t worry, you aren't alone, and we are on hand to help. In this article, we will guide you through some game formats from RAID: Shadow Legends, along with some strategies, so you can have the most fun and success while playing the game.

Battles are part and parcel of the gameplay in RAID: Shadow Legends. Below we highlight some key gameplay basics, which will give you a solid base to build your game.

When you open up a game, you’ll be given a choice between four different champions. Personally, we tend to choose Athel or Kael, who have the characteristics to take you deep into the game.

Affinities

Affinities are vital in RAID: Shadow Legends, and each of the four champions has an affinity. Much like the old game of rock, paper, scissors, affinities have strengths against some other affinities, but weaknesses against others.

For example, Magic is strong against Spirit, but weak against Force. But Spirit is strong against Force, and Force is strong against Magic. Void is the one exception, which is strong in all situations, and has no weaknesses.

In Total Affinities in RAID: Shadow Legends are:

* MAGIC (BLUE): Strong against Spirit, weak against Force

* SPIRIT (GREEN): Strong against Force, weak against Magic

* FORCE (RED): Strong against Magic, weak against Spirit

* VOID (PURPLE): No counter, no weakness

All of the affinities are given their own color. The affinities are the bedrock of RAID: Shadow Legends, and you should aim to become as familiar as you can with the affinities and their strengths and weaknesses.

Check the Turn Meter

Alongside affinities, the Turn Meter is one of the key components of RAID: Shadow Legends. When playing the game, you'll see two bars above every champion on the battlefield. This even includes your enemies.

The yellow bar is the Turn Meter and is vitally important for your success. The Turn Meter fills over time, showing you how ready your champion is for battle. The order in which champions enter the battlefield is determined by their Turn Meter.

Game ModesDungeons

RAID: Shadow Legends has 10 dungeons to choose from, each of which provides unique missions. As a top tip, grinding in dungeons is a sure way to develop your champions.

If you are finding dungeon challenges difficult, don’t despair. They have been designed to be difficult, but they are rewarding, so stick with them.

Arena

The Arena allows you to bring your favorite squad together to battle against other RAID: Shadow Players. If you win a battle in the arena, you'll win valuable rewards.

Clan Boss

Clan Boss battles are huge battles against Clan Bosses, which are notoriously difficult to beat. The actions of numerous clan members can be used to chip away at the sheer power of the Clan Bosses. In time you might find that the Clan Bosses can be defeated.

Campaigns

RAID: Shadow Legends has a good selection of 12 campaigns to try to conquer. Each of these 12 campaigns has three difficulty levels and at least a dozen stages to conquer. This will give you a good supply of exciting gameplay.

Game StrategiesUpgrades

Upgrades are available at multiple opportunities throughout the RAID: Shadow Legends gameplay. Used effectively, they will help you and your champion thrive and survive through the game.

Tomes can be used to improve the skills of your champion, as well as give them the experiences needed to upgrade their levels. Your gear can also be upgraded as you progress through the game.

Try Progress Missions

Progress Missions have been created to give you an introduction to the systems used in the game. Even seasoned RAID: Shadow Legends gamers can gain valuable refreshers from the tutorials included in the progress missions.

Open the Mine

Unlocking the Mine isn’t cheap, but players find that once they have opened it, it provides a steady stream of gems. Players usually find that unlocking and upgrading the Mine will take around 100 days to pay for itself. After that 100-day barrier, you will be quids in, and you'll gain a good supply of gems.

Head to the Tavern

Where better to improve your champion than a good old-fashioned tavern? At the tavern, you can trade in your unwanted champions, replacing them with improvements to your favorite champion.

Sparring Pit

The Sparring Pit is a great place for players who want to upgrade their champions while preserving that all-important Energy. Because you don’t use Energy, it is an excellent option for players who are low on Energy, or when stepping away from the game - maybe you are going on holiday, or have a school or college deadline.

Spend Your Silver at the Market

At the market, you can trade in your Silver for new gear to arm your champions for battle. What’s available at the market refreshes every hour, so if you can’t find anything for you or your champions, head back in an hour to see if there is something more suited to you.
