DESCRIPTION

Earn to Die is the standard convention of a zombie apocalypse game: the dead have arisen, and society, as we know it, has crumbled. Like a youthful Clint Eastwood, you find yourself in New Hope, Texas, surrounded by hordes of zombies in the desert. To be evacuated, you must drive to a military airbase in Oregon.

In-game action takes place in the more common 2D side-scrolling fashion. Your transportation options include rusty old buggies, pickup trucks, a minivan, sports cars, a Humvee, a bus, and large armored military trucks. As you drive from checkpoint to checkpoint in search of the helicopter, you'll need to employ these vehicles to slice through waves of undead. You will need to get far enough into the level with the small buggy, no money, and a depleted fuel supply.

Stopping a short distance abruptly into the level can be disconcerting at first. Depending on how far you make it through the level, you'll be given a certain sum of money as a reward. You can boost your vehicle's capability to smash zombies by purchasing upgrades.

Machine guns, whirling chainsaws, bigger gas tanks, better engines, and robust boosters are all possible aftermarket additions to your vehicle. With these improvements, you can progress through each stage of the game more quickly. Pits, ramps, boxes, barrels of explosives, and zombies are hazards across the roughly equal-length levels.

Earn to Die's Enemies

The zombies are the enemies. They come in a wide variety of sizes. You've got these shambling walkers who stare blankly ahead as you drive up, waiting to be smashed by your car and sent flying. Zombies now tend to be larger and more robust than befo.

At last, there are the running zombies that pursue after your car and cling to it, which players found thrilling initially because you could avoid them and shake them off. The fact that they seem to want to make your automobile go slower and use more gas made players feel less threatened than when they first saw them. There are no oil slicks, flamethrowers, or explosives to protect against the clingers, which feels like a huge omission on the part of the game's developers.

How Challenging is Earn to Die?

Despite the intriguing premise and cars, Earn to Die isn't at all hardcore. You can win while making any effort to play it because it's that simple. After completing the first two stages, players reported feeling bored. To achieve a level, press the accelerator button repeatedly until your car runs out of gas.

Next, you utilize your hard-earned virtual currency to purchase the game-changing enhancements that will see you through to victory. There is a booster button for thrusters in addition to the acceleration. In some locations, timing it right might assist you in advance. The fact that you can use two extra buttons to tilt the vehicle in a specific direction is not a problem because players rarely utilize them.

Earn to Die Strategies

Earn to Die isn’t a challenging game but would still require a bit of precision to your driving. However, you won't have to perform as much steering as you may think.

* Tapping the left or right rotation button while accelerating will help

* Tapping is required because overdoing it will flip your car over and damage it.

* No matter what, keep your finger on the acceleration button; if you stop pressing, it’s game over for you.

* Using your boost is essential to reach the level's end, so using it over ramps is the best choice to boost your distance.

* Be wary of crashing into barriers too hard when you've reached a certain level of car upgrade. Maintaining a high rate of speed is essential, but so is keeping your car intact.

* Wheels, boosters, and other parts of vehicles can be detached and destroyed. How far you get on your current run may be affected.

* Do not buy extra fuel in the early levels; instead, focus on upgrading your vehicle to be tougher and more resilient to crashes and zombies.

Investing in powerups and new rides is the game's focus, by purposefully upgrading it so that your vehicle can never reach the finish line. You must keep upgrading and buying new vehicles until you can afford the armored military truck. At first, it's fun to see how far you've come with each new upgrade, but that excitement quickly fades when you reach the maximum upgrade level.
